There's a guy with a 'trick' to make it run on Win10. My friend installed it native in 8.1 and it runs. I can't attest to its performance on Vista, Win10, or Win 8/8.1. With the autosave turned on, it can recover unsaved work. Oh yeah, Save Often! It does not crash what I would consider to be "a lot," but it happens. :X Most people pick 9, but I have always used 10, and it has been pretty solid.
